Also called uchinorimono 内法物. The wooden materials used for the framework of a sliding screen *shouji 障子, a sliding opaque screen *fusuma 襖, or sliding doors *tobira 扉 or *to 戸. This generic term includes such timber members as uchinori nageshi 内法長押, an exposed non-penetrating the beam placed above the upper track *kamoi 鴨居 and nailed to the posts, and for the members used for the threshold or lower track *shikii 敷居.
