Dangling chin, a gimmick used on some bugaku masks *bugakumen •‘Šy–Ê, such as *Ryouou —ˉ¤, *Nasori ”[‘]—˜, and *Genjouraku ŠÒéŠy. A separately carved, rounded chin is hung from long cords attached to the lower portion of the rotating eyes *dougan “®Šá. The dangling chin swings during the dance, inducing movement in the eyes as well. The dangling chin is different in construction and conception from the detached chin *kiriago ØŠ{. | ||||||
