dyed various colors using one of several techniques: sen'izome 繊維染
(raw fibers dyed before paper is made), tsukezome 漬染 (raw paper dipped
into a dye), or hikizome 引染 (dye dabbed onto paper with a brush). Irogami
is used for folding paper, origami 折紙, as well as for calligraphy.
