|  A nail used to hang a flower vase in a tea ceremony 
room *chashitsu 茶室. Some are hammered into the center of the alcove *tokonoma 
床の間, wall and others are hammered into the alcove pillar *tokobashira 
床柱. The former is also called *nakakugi 
中釘 and the latter *hashirakugi 
柱釘 or tokobashira hanakugi 床柱花釘. All are metal nails, bent up into an L- 
shape to form a hook.  |
