A toxic white powder of basic lead carbonate (2PbCO3.Pb(OH)2), used as a white pigment *ganryou Šη—Ώ in paints *enogu ŠG‹ο, housepaints and printing ink. Traditionally made in Japan by piling strips of lead over a charcoal fire containing vinegar.
