A collector's seal, kanzou-in Ó ó, which was impressed on Song and Yuan period paintings *Sougenga vłć, after they were imported to Japan. Until recently, this seal was believed to have belonged to Ashikaga Yoshimasa Ť` (1436-90), but recent investigation shows that zakkeshitsu was the name of a studio or hermitage belonging to Ashikaga Yoshinori Ť`ł (1394-1441) MUMOMACHIDONO GYOUKOU OKAZARI-KI şŹasKäüL (Tokugawa żě Art Museum, Aichi prefecture). There are at present sixteen paintings which are impressed with the zakkeshitsu seal. Among them are "Quails" Uzura-zu ęG} (Nezu ŞĂ Art Museum, Tokyo and "Bamboo and Insect" Chikuchuu-zu |} (Tokyo National Museum), both attributed to Li An-zhong (Jp. Ri Anchuu Ŕ). | ||||||
