A cul-de-sac compound. A long and narrow castle compound with only one gateway entrance which turns into a blind alley. Enemy forces were lured in and then massacred. Also classed with this type are hidden compounds, kakushiguruwa 隠郭, an hostage compounds hitojichiguruwa 人質郭.
