Also called a watariyaguramon nEε or just *watariyagura nE. A two story, timber frame gatehouse constructed in the barbican gatehouse complex, masugatamon `ε, of a castle. A *kouraimon νε is constructed in front of the enclosed box-shaped court. The next gate, the two-story yaguramon is constructed to the right of the first gate at a 90Kangle. The second story of this gate house links the right and left yaguradai Eδ that run along the top of the stone walls on either side of the entrance, and has a connecting gallery for castle guards. The first story is flanked by stone walls and typically serves as a three-bay entry gate. | ||||||
