yamatokaki　大和掻

A type of bamboo lattice entwined with wisteria vine set in a window opening *shitajimado 下地窓, in a tea ceremony houses *chashitsu 茶室, or in a sukiya style residence *sukiya-zukuri 数寄屋造. If the vines are wrapped from both sides of the lattice, it is called the main yamato style or *hon'yamato 本大和. If the vines twist around from one side only it is called katayamato 片大和.
