Short for warabidegata suihotsu ˜nŽθŒ`‚”―. Strands of hair *suihotsu ‚”―, which hang down both shoulders. The strands are of various lengths, symmetrical on both sides, and curl up at the tips. This style was used (4-6c) on Bodhisattva images in Northern .Wei period in China, and on *bosatsu •μŽF and *ten “V images created in the Asuka period in Japan (late 6-early 7c). Good examples include the Miroku Bosatsu –νθΣ•μŽF in Chuuguuji ’†‹{Ž›, and the Kannon Bosastu ŠΟ‰Ή•μŽF@in *Yumedono –²“a, Houryuuji –@—²Ž›, Nara.
