uwabari　上張

Also written 上貼, also called visible top layer keshoubari 化粧張, frontside hyoumenbari 表面張 or finishing shiagebari 仕上張. The top or outer layer of paper or cloth pasted on sliding opaque screens *fusuma 襖, ceilings *tenjou 天井, walls *kabe 壁 etc. The base layer is called shitabari 下張. The middle layer nakabari 中張.
