urizanegata tourou　瓜実形灯籠

An usual type of lantern where the flame window is shaped like a *muhoutou 無縫塔 (type of pagoda). The overall form is said to resemble a melon, uri 瓜. One such lantern exists in the garden of Kyoto's Shin'nyoin 真如院.
