Also written 吊金物. Metal fittings that are used to suspend various types of structural members, which include: hanging struts; hanging posts, tsurizuka 吊束, to which head jambs are attached *kamoi 鴨居; or ceilings, tsuritenjou 釣天井. Traditionally ceilings were suspended by wooden straps. Metal fittings are also used to support a cantilever *hanegi 桔木, or to secure rain gutters *toi 樋. Tsurimoto 釣元 refers to metal fittings for doors that are hung along one side by means of pivot hinges *jikuzuri 軸吊. | ||||||
