|  The point where two downward slopig roofs meet to 
form a vally, under which gutters must be set to carry off rain water. Examples 
are found on the Usa Shrine's main sanctuary, Usa Jinguu Honden F²_{{a (1854-1861), 
Ooita prefecture, and in Nara, at Toudaiji ε Hokkedou @Ψ° also called Sangatsudou 
O°, erected in 748 with the Raidou η° added in the Kamakura period (1199). A 
valley was formed when the latter building was attached and a raingutter added 
to carry off water that formed when the two buildings were joined.  |
