2@In minka with hipped roofs, *yosemune yane Šñ“‰®ª, in Chiba prefecture, the short beams that span from the eaves purlin, *nokigeta Œ¬Œ…, at the end of the roof to the main transverse beam, *koyabari ¬‰®—À. These beams run parallel to the ridge and form a base for roof struts, koyazuka ¬‰®‘©, to support other beams. Also called *tobibari ”ò—À.
