tatebashirashiki　立柱式

Also read ritchuushiki. A ceremony performed when the main post, tatebashira, of a building is erected. Paper strips, called gohei 御幣, are put on top of the post, which is the first structural member to be set in place. It may also be called tatezomebashira 立初柱, *daikokubashira 大黒柱 or imibashira 忌柱 or 斎柱.
