Thin wooden strips san V, grillwork, baces on a gate or below a window, intersecting diagonally to form diamond shapes, or arranged in a zig-zag pattern. either ornamental or for strengthening. A lattice formed in this way is called *tasukigoshi ζFiq. Found on 'genji fences' *genjibei Ή», *heijuumon »dε gates, cedar doors *sugido Λ, and bamboo-joint transoms *take-no-fushi ranma |ΜίΤ. |
