Abbreviation of Seiryoujishiki Shaka nyoraizou y߉ޔ@, also known as Zuizou Shaka ߉. A sculpture of *Shaka ߉ modelled after the Shaka image Shakazou ߉ޑ at Seiryouji y (popularly known as Saga Shakadou ߉ޓ) in Kyoto. The Seiryouji image itself was brought from Northern Song China to Japan by the Toudaiji 厛 priest Chounen R (?-1016) in 987. Copies of this image were made for temples all over Japan. The term is generic to all such images. | ||||||
