A ceiling covered in a mesh made from solid stems of bamboo, kanchiku Š¦’|, black bamboo, hachiku ’W’|,the horsetail plant, tokusa –Ψ‘―, ditch reed, yoshi δΡ or bush clover, hagi ”‹. These very slender stems are bound or plaited together with cord. Used in tearooms, particularly those of the rustic *souan ‘ˆΑ style.
