A simple door made of vertical planks with horizontal cross members that are about as wide as the vertical ties placed across the rear of the door. Two or three ties are used. Sometimes a board of the same width is set diagonally between the ties for further strengthening. The diagonal strips are called sujikaizan ØáV or tasukizan æFV; Sando are commonly used for gates and storehouses. | ||||||
