Ch: Ling Yun Guanhua. The Tang dynasty Zen ‘T priest Lingyun Zhiqin (Jp: Reiun Shikin —μ‰_Žu‹Ξ), a disciple of Weishan Lingyu (Jp: Isan Reiyuu ‚’ŽR—μ—S), who achieved enlightenment while watching peach blossoms. He composed a well-known verse on the experience. The story is included in the Jingde Chuandenglu (Jp: KEITOKU DENTOUROKU Œi“Ώ“`“•˜^ ; Record of the Transmission of the Lamp, 1004). The screen painting by Kanou Motonobu Žλ–μŒ³M (1476-1559) in Daitokuji Daisen-in ‘ε“ΏŽ›‘εε‰@ (ca. 1513), Kyoto, is the best known example in Japan.
