Also termed kyuuryou joukaku 丘陵城郭. Lit. hill castle. 1　A castle built on a hillock, oka 丘, as opposed a castle on a high mountain, *yamajiro 山城. 2　The term okajou may refer to a flatland mountain castle: see *hirayamajiro 平山城.
