      gate mon 門, with multiple pillars with large intervals between them. 
       One example is Nanzenji Sanmon 南禅寺三門 (1628), a very large two storied gate in Kyoto. It has five bays, with the three center bays open for passage. 2 Also *hiroma 広間, a large room used by noblemen and shogun in medieval ages. 3 Kyouma 京間, *tatami 畳 in Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and Setouchi 瀬戸内 areas.
