Also namirenji 波連子; yumirenji 弓連子; tatewaki renji 立涌連子. A type of latticework renji 連子 made in a wavy pattern and usually placed vertically in a kind of transom *ranma 欄間 between the upper or neck penetrating tie beams *hinuki 飛貫 and the head penetrating tie beams *kashiranuki 頭貫 in a Zen style *zenshuuyou 禅宗様 structure. The latticework usually extends from one pillar to the next. Sometimes wavy lattice is placed above entrances and/or windows in Zen style architecture and is called namiranma 波欄間. Windows with wavy mullions are called namirenjimado 波連子窓 .
