Ridge beam. Also called munegata, munagata, munegeta 棟桁; *kudarimune 降棟 or osagomai 小狭小舞. 1　A synonym for *munagi 棟木 (the ridge pole). A ridge beam receives the upper ends of the rafters. 2　A board roof where the underside is visible *keshou yaneura 化粧屋根裏.
