Inorganic pigment. Insoluble pigments *ganryou 顔料 made from inorganic substances such as rock and metal. Some muki ganryou are made from natural materials, for example the blue pigment *gunjou 群青 is made of pulverized azurite or lapis lazuri. Others such as *berorin-ai ベロリン藍 are synthetically produced. Paints made from mineral pigments are called *iwa-enogu 岩絵具. | ||||||
