Also *moya 母屋. Purlins; horizontal members placed between and parallel to the ridge pole *munagi 棟木 and wall plate *daiwa 台輪, along the front and rear of a building. They are an integral part of the roof framework *koyagumi 小屋組, and a major support for common rafters *taruki 垂木.
