Kichijouten mandara　吉祥天曼荼羅

Also read Kisshouten mandara. A variety of dedicated mandala *besson mandara 別尊曼荼羅, centered on the goddess *Kichijouten 吉祥天. She is depicted flanked on the left and right by *Bonten 梵天 and *Taishakuten 帝釈天, while a six-tusked white elephant holding an agate jar with its trunk is shown causing jewels to rain down from above. A polychrome example is kept at the MOA Museum (Shizuoka prefecture.; formerly in the possession of Kanchi-in 観智院, Kyoto).
