|  Also       called kakutamagaki pΚ_ or *tatehigo       tamagaki GβάΚ_. A variation of a *tamagaki Κ_ type fence. A fence with square laths set vertically between the main       fence posts. Thought to have first appeared in the late 16c, it may also       have a small roof to protect it from the rain. If the laths are placed diagonally,       the fence is called sujikaigoushi tamagaki ΨπiqΚ_ and if the laths       form a grid pattern, the fence is called oogoushi tamagaki εiqΚ_.  |
