      of *tenmokuyuu 
      “V–ÚçÖ. A red-brown glaze which is often used on straight-sided conical tea 
      bowls known as tenmoku ware *tenmoku 
      jawan “V–Ú’ƒ˜q. Tenmokuyuu contains iron salts, tetsuen 
      “S‰– which are oxidized when fired in a kiln and turn black. The red-brown 
      shades of haiyuu ŠDçÖ are produced when the iron content is high.  |
