Lit. persimmon colour. An orange colour, said to resemble the persimmon fruit, or a reddish-brown like the colour of persimmon juice. The orange colour is made by mixing the red pigment *beni 紅 with yellow *sekiou 石黄; the red-brown is made by adding carbon ink *sumi 墨 to red *bengara 弁柄.
