kusa-e　草絵

Colored *ukiyo-e 浮世絵 prints. Kusa-e fall into the category of red-prints *benizuri-e 紅摺絵 which used vermillion, dark green and yellow as basic colors, but kusa-e used only green and yellow. Thought to have been a forerunner of early small-sized red-print pictures.
