kumoshirin　雲支輪

Also written 雲枝輪. Lit. cloud strut. A type of slanting ceiling strut *shirin 支輪. A board-like strut, itashirin 板支輪, carved with stylized ornamental cloud shapes. First used in the Momoyama period.
