A barge
course, gable overhang or a raking eave. The part of the roof that extends
beyond the gable wall or gable pediment in a hip-and-gable or gable roof
; *irimoya-zukuri
入母屋造, *kirizuma-zukuri
切妻造. The bargeboards run along the ends of the purlins that extend beyond
the gable wall. These ends are called moyabana 母屋鼻 (purlin nose).
Also called sotonoki 外軒; *noborinoki
登軒, sobanoki 傍軒. Roof tiles that extend along the keraba are
called *kerabagawara
螻羽瓦. |
