Imported from Ming dynasty China in the 15c, it was admired by tea adepts along
with *kinran ŕćE and *donsu
ăjq as a highly respected fabric *meibutsugire
ź¨ô. Cotton striped material imported from India, Southeast Asia and the Middle
East was also called kantou. Famous types are called Yazaemon íOEqĺ, Aoki
ÂŘ, Mochizuki ], Funakoshi Dz, Hino úě, and Yahyoue íşq. |
