juuroku musashi 十六武蔵

A kind of table game played with one king and 16 round, pawn-like piece of paper on each side of a divided board. The board and pieces were decorated with woodblock print designs. Utagawa Kunisada 歌川国貞 (1786-1864) devised a series of prints of beautiful women *bijinga 美人画 for one such game set.
