ike-no-kokoro　池の心

Lit. heart of the pond. The most important part of a pond, which, may be the center, bottom or surface. The term is sometimes confused with shinji-no-ike 心字の池, (heart character pond), a pond shaped like the Chinese character 心 shin or kokoro.
