Also hakokanamono 箱金物, *makikanagu 巻金具, makikanamono 巻金物. U-strap, strap, stirrup. A three-sided コ-shaped metal fitting *kanagu 金具, used to secure wooden joints, for example between a pillar and foundation, or a beam and a pillar.
