Also written 羽柄材. Also called hagaramono 端柄物, 羽柄物, yamabikizai 山挽材. A general term for trimmed, boards approximately 12-30cm wide and 180cm long. These include thin boards 6-8mm thick shibu-ita 四分板, boards about 1cm thick rokubu-ita 六分板, timbers used for the upper track *kamoi 鴨居, lower track *shikii 敷居, rafters *taruki 垂木, non-penetrating tie beams uchinori nageshi 内法長押, penetrating tie beams *uchinorinuki 内法貫, and similar types of fittings. Lintels are not included in this term.
