柱寄. 1 A thin board or narrow post set on each side of a door or gate to provide a neat finish. It is also found on paneled, double sliding, opaque screens *taikobari fusuma 太鼓張襖 used as a tea master's entrance *kayoiguchi 通い口 into a tea ceremony room *chashitsu 茶室. See *heijiku 幣軸. 2 Houdate wakibashira 方立脇柱 are square posts positioned on the inside of each of the houdate when the distance between pillars is wide. |
