han-noshigawara　半熨斗瓦

Rectangular ridge tiles with half the width of an ordinary ridge tile *noshigawara 熨斗瓦. In fact, these relatively flat tiles are actually noshigawara that have been halved lengthwise. They are used to cover the broad, concave tiles *hiragawara 平瓦, and the cover tiles *marugawara 丸瓦, that meet at the top of the ridge *munagi 棟木.
