Also written 葺卸. The extension of a roof or the elongation of eaves on the main part of a building in order to cover an adjacent area. It is common to use this method to roof a shed attached to a main building or to cover an entrance or veranda. Example: Rokuharamitsuji Hondou 六波羅密寺本堂 (1363), Kyoto.
