An angle joint *shiguchi dϋ used at the inner corner of a building where two non-penetrating tie beams *nageshi · are connected at a right angle. The upper part of the joint has a collar tenon *eriwa έΦ while the base of the joint is mitered or is stopped by a flat surface. This angle joint is also made at the inner corners of lintels *kamoi and framing uprights for sliding screens, windows or doors. | ||||||
