The opening between the floor frame of the alcove *tokonoma °ΜΤ, and the bottom edge of the wing wall *sodekabe ³Η, which extends outward at right angles to the main wall in *shoin @ style rooms, or tea ceremony rooms *chashitsu Ί. It averages about 750-900mm high. The width depends on the measurement of extension from the main wall. A pillar called *tokobashira ° defines the opening on the main-room side. | ||||||
