Ch: Fenggan. The Tang dynasty priest noted for his eccentric behavior, who was usually depicted with his pet tiger. Fenggan is said to have lived at the temple Guoqingsi 国清寺 on Mt. Tiantai (Jp: Tendai 天台), where he raised the orphan Shide (Jp: Jittoku 拾得).
