together. Variations include: the same kind of tree, one tree large and
the other small; different but related trees, such as black pine, kuromatsu
黒松, and red pine, akamatsu 赤松; and completely different kinds of
trees. Related to the aioi technique is the practice of training
the trunks of a single tree to grow so that they appear to be two different
trees that are growing together. |
