Mid-Summer Night BBQ Party
On Wednesday, July 25th, 2014, a barbecue party was held at the Atsumi Foundation Hall. About 50 people including Atsumi scholarship recipients, Raccoon members and their families and AISF staff as well as several guests, got together. It was a cloudy day but no rain.
BBQ set was placed at the inner court of the Hall and a party started in a good atmosphere at around 18:00 in the intense heat. Everybody enjoyed their talking, laughing, eating and drinking. They enjoyed also delicious meat, chicken and fresh see food which were delivered from Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture. We had delicious sweets too on BBQ menu.
I, myself, was in charge of cooking Turkish chicken 'kebab' and I was so happy because many people said 'kebab' was good.
I think participants had their enjoyable time and could take a break from daily stress of busy research and summer fatigue. I am so happy to be a member of international council of AISF seeing all of them, who have various nationalities and backgrounds, having talked lively and friendly.
