zuizou　瑞像

A name given to a sandalwood statue of Shaka Nyorai 釈迦如来 (in the same style as the figure in Seiryouji 清涼寺, Kyoto). See *Seiryoujishiki Shaka 清涼寺式釈迦. Sometimes a statue of a jovial Buddha of good fortune and generosity is called zuizou.
