Lit. Bush warbler fence. A common type of rustic sleeve fence *sodegaki 袖垣, made of brushwood branches stood lengthwise and held together by horizontal bars of split bamboo. The top of the brushwood is left untrimmed to create a natural feeling. The style is used for sodegaki and for continuous fences *oogaki 大垣. | ||||||
