tobibari　飛梁

Also called tobimono 飛物 or hiryou 飛梁. A beam that extends from the eave purlin *gagyou 丸桁, to the first transverse beam *hari 梁, of a roof framework in order to carry struts for shorter purlins *moyageta 母屋桁.
